How to change language settings of Acrobat

The process required to change the language of Acrobat when it is installed and when creating a package for installation is using Customization Wizard.

Environment

  • Windows
  • Acrobat

Steps

Change Acrobat default language:

  1. Go to Control Panel >Programs and Features.
  2. Select Acrobat and and click Change
  3. Choose Modify and click Next.
  4. Click Languages 
  5. Click on the drop down against the languages that you want to install and select This feature will be installed on the local hard drive.
  6. Click Install.
  7. CTRL+Click on Acrobat. You will receive a pop-up with a drop down to choose the language from the list of installed languages.

When creating a package using Customization Wizard:-

  1. Open Customization Wizard and click Open Package.
  2. Browse and select AcroPro.msi.
  3. Go to Installation Options.
  4. Check Install all languages.
  5. All the languages will be installed with Acrobat.
  6. CTRL+Click on Acrobat. You will receive a pop-up with a drop down to choose the language from the list of installed languages.
