History of Scale Computing
Scale Computing was founded in 2003 by a group of engineers who had previously worked at other companies. The company’s first product, the SC-100, was released in 2005 and was designed to be used as a single node server or as part of a cluster.
In 2008, Scale Computing released its second generation hardware platform: the SC-200 series. This platform included new features such as hot-swappable components and support for up to 16 nodes per cluster (up from 8). In 2010, they launched their third generation hardware: the SC3000 series which offered even more performance than previous models while maintaining compatibility with existing applications and data storage systems.
