History of Paessler

Paessler was founded in 1997 by a group of IT professionals with the goal of creating a company that would help others succeed. The team’s experience ranged from system administration to network engineering, and they were determined to use their collective knowledge to build something better than what was currently available on the market.
The company has grown steadily since its founding, adding new products and services along the way. In addition to its flagship PRTG Network Monitor product line (which we’ll discuss further below), Paessler now offers other solutions such as PRTG Server & Application Monitor and PRTG Cloud Hosted Monitoring Services for businesses looking for more flexible options than an on-premise solution provides them with.

Products and Services

The Paessler brand offers a variety of products and services to help you manage your IT infrastructure. Here’s a list of the most popular offerings:

  • PRTG Network Monitor (free) – This is our free network monitoring software, which can be used on up to 100 devices with no restrictions on the number of sensors or data sources. It gives you an overview of your entire IT infrastructure in real time, including an alerting system that notifies you when something goes wrong.
  • PRTG Cloud Monitor ($29/month) – This is our cloud-based version of PRTG Network Monitor, which allows you to monitor thousands more devices than would normally be possible using traditional hardware solutions like routers or switches alone. It also comes with additional features such as automatic backups and disaster recovery options so that even if something happens at one location (e.g., fire), then all other locations will still have access through another location until everything returns back online again after repairs are made!
