History of Linksys
Linksys was founded in 1988 by Greg, Mike and Scott Banning. The company started out as a PC accessories manufacturer and quickly grew to become one of the largest manufacturers of networking products in the world.
In 1995, Cisco Systems acquired Linksys for $500 million dollars. At that time, it was one of the largest acquisitions made by Cisco Systems (now known as just “Cisco”).
