Financials
JBL is a global audio brand that designs and markets high-quality consumer electronics products. The company was founded in 1946 by James Bullough Lansing, an audio engineer who pioneered the use of high-frequency drivers in loudspeakers.
Lansing’s first product was the Model 811 monitor speaker system for recording studios, which featured an 8-inch woofer and 1-inch dome tweeter mounted on a single enclosure. It was sold to Universal Studios for use during filming of “It’s a Wonderful Life.” After selling several hundred pairs of these speakers, Lansing founded JBL with two partners: Richard Ranger (who would later become president) and William Haynes (who would later sell his interest).
Products & Services
JBL is a company that provides a variety of products and services to its customers. Some of these products include:
- JBL Bluetooth speakers, which come in many different colors and sizes. You can use them to listen to music or watch videos on your phone, or even use them as an alarm clock!
- JBL headphones, which are great for listening to music on the go because they’re wireless and have noise cancellation technology built-in so you can focus better on what you’re doing rather than being distracted by outside noises–like cars honking their horns or people yelling at each other across the street from where you’re standing (which happens all too often).
If there’s one thing we’ve learned from reading this article so far it’s this: JBL makes some pretty awesome stuff!
