Honeywell was founded in 1906, and has since become one of the largest companies in the world. The company’s headquarters are located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Honeywell employs over 100,000 people worldwide and operates in more than 150 countries across six continents.

Honeywell’s Expansion in the Aerospace Industry

Honeywell’s expansion into the aerospace industry began in the 1960s, when it partnered with Airbus and Boeing to develop new aircraft systems. In addition to developing a range of new products for the aerospace industry, Honeywell also developed advanced data analytics tools that have been used by NASA since 1969.
Honeywell has continued its partnership with NASA throughout its history; today it provides products such as air conditioning units for space shuttles and rocket engines used by SpaceX rockets.

Honeywell’s Expansion in the Automotive Industry

Honeywell’s expansion into the automotive industry began in 2010, when it partnered with General Motors to develop connected car systems. The company has since developed a range of new products for the auto industry, including advanced data analytics tools and systems that analyze driver behavior. In addition, Honeywell has partnered with several other automakers to develop technologies such as automatic braking systems and adaptive cruise control (a system that automatically adjusts speed based on traffic conditions).

Honeywell’s Expansion in the Consumer Electronics Industry

Honeywell’s expansion into the consumer electronics industry is one of its most notable ventures. In 2010, Honeywell partnered with Apple to develop a line of home automation devices that would work seamlessly with iPhones and iPads. The following year, Honeywell partnered with Google and Amazon to develop connected home systems for both companies’ platforms: Google Home and Amazon Echo respectively.
In addition to these partnerships, Honeywell has developed a range of new products for the consumer electronics industry including air purifiers (which are now available on Amazon), smart thermostats like Lyric Round Wi-Fi Thermostat ($249), security cameras such as Smart Home Security Camera System ($199), smoke detectors like First Alert 2-in-1 Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm ($30) or Nest Protect Smoke + CO Alarm ($99).
