History of Highpoint.com
Highpoint.com was founded in 2000 by two brothers, Michael and Eric Lefkofsky. They had previously worked together at the consulting firm McKinsey & Company and were interested in starting their own business. The idea for Highpoint came from a failed attempt to start an online travel agency called Travelocity (which would later become part of Sabre Holdings).
The company’s first office was located in Evanston, Illinois; it later moved to Chicago where it remains today. In addition to its headquarters there are offices across the United States as well as internationally in London and Singapore.
