Company History

Novell was founded in 1983 by Ray Noorda and a group of other former employees of IBM. The company’s first product was an add-on software package called Netware, which allowed users to connect multiple computers together using a network. This early version of the product was released on floppy disks and sold through retail stores like Best Buy and Sears Roebuck & Co..
In 1988, Novell released its next iteration: Netware 2.0–the first commercially successful operating system that supported networking hardware from multiple vendors (as opposed to just one). It also featured improved security features as well as support for TCP/IP protocols that would eventually become standard across all operating systems today.

Introduction

Welcome to our Novell Brand Blog! Here, we’ll be sharing insights on how the Novell brand has evolved over time and what that means for you as a customer. In this first post, we’ll cover the basics of what makes up a great brand–what it is, why it’s important and how you can use it to make your business more successful.
You may be asking yourself: “What is a brand?” A brand is essentially how people perceive your company (or product). It’s made up of everything from how you look and sound to who works there and what kind of experience they create for customers or clients when they interact with them. Every interaction contributes to forming this perception in some way–whether through words spoken by sales reps over the phone or impressions left by marketing campaigns online. And if those interactions aren’t working well together then chances are good that someone won’t want anything else from us again!
